Workshop on digital competence taxonomies for open educational resources (OERs)

Date

An interesting workshop on “Digital competence taxonomies for open educational resources (OERs)” is planned, within the DigCompHub project, for September.

The University of Amsterdam/AUAS and the Maastricht University in the Netherlands are developing a Digital literacy taxonomy, based on DigComp and other frameworks, to support creating and sharing open educational resources (OERs) in this domain among Dutch higher education institutes. This activity builds on past work on an Information literacy taxonomy already used in the Dutch academic world.

The purpose of the workshop that will take place on September 19th from 14:00-15:00 is to widen the feedback-gathering process in the development of the Digital literacy taxonomy at a broader European level.

During the workshop, Harrie van der Meer (University of Amsterdam/AUAS) and Anna-Lena Hoh (Maastricht University) will first illustrate and present the state of the Digital literacy taxonomy, which already benefited from feedback from some Dutch universities.

Participants will then be asked to also provide feedback. Afterward, the current experiences with collecting and sharing open educational resources in this context will be presented. At the end of the workshop, there is time to exchange ideas and practices.
